Originally from the suburbs of Atlanta, Georgia, Danielle C. Wyckoff currently lives and works in Grand Rapids, Michigan.  She is an artist and an educator, teaching at Kendall College of Art and Design.  Considering the human capacity to love and how we speak about those loves, Wyckoff’s work explores the myriad ways in which we express and understand such. She has exhibited or performed across the United States, in Chile, Denmark, China, and Canada. When possible, she, her husband Nate, and their daughter visit the oceanic Lake Michigan.

Workshop themes will be based off of Danielle's practice of setting intentions with objects and stringing beads. In the Wish Strands workshop, participants will be invited to think about someone they love or care about while they string together beads and small objects. Once they've beaded as much as they like with their strand, we'll tie it off and write or draw a note that can be attached to it. Participating artists may then either give the strand to their loved one or keep it as a reminder.
